Sylvan is the language of the fey creatures that inhabit the planes. Creatures of fey origin on Eberron, such as eladrin, elves, and gnomes may also speak Sylvan. Sylvan uses the same script as the elven language.[1][2][3]

Behind the Scenes[]
In 3rd and 5th editions, Sylvan was the language of the fey. In 4th edition, Sylvan was replaced by Elven.[2]
