I am a new editor, and I hope to contribute a lot to this project in the future.
I am hoping to propose a change in policy for how non-canon material utilizes Categories. I think it is fine that this wiki hosts non-canon, user-generated material, but I think there should be a clear delineation between canon and non-canon material in the categories for ease of use. Obviously there are few ways to do this, so here are some options along these lines:
Option 1: Limit user-generated material to only use the "Player Character" and "Player Campaign" categories. Pros: Simple. Cons: It becomes much harder to find material.
Option 2: Create non-canon subcategories for each category. So we might have a "Category:Druids (Non-canon)" for characters who are non-canon. Pros: Navigation is much easier. Cons: It would take a lot of work to maintain it, and it would effectively double the number of categories.
Option 3: Create a small handful of non-canon categories. Pros: A middle-ground between Option 1 and 2. Cons: Navigation still is not perfect.
Do any of these sound feasible? I would love to hear your thoughts on this.
Hi, sorry I missed this message until now. I think option 1 is best, we don't have the man power for anything high maintenance, it's pretty much me you and a couple others who edit very rarely. I think option 1 works best as it'll clear up the categories that are being filled with user generated material. Personally I like to make it very clear which articles are user generated. Hope that helped.
In 3.5, Changelings and Doppelgangers are distinct creatures, but in 4th they're one and the same. Should we change all references to "doppelgangers" coming from 4th edition sources to "changelings"? That way it will mean the same regardless of your edition. Right now it gives 3.5 players the impression that actual doppelgangers are in a lot of places, when really it's mostly "just" changelings.
Becuase the 4th edition Eberron is quite often a dumbed down version of 3.5, I tend to use 3.5 as a foundation then as you did with the Changeling article, input any noticeable differences in the note section.
I'm soon to start a campaign with Eberron as setting. What is bothering me is that there is no material for 5th edition rules, 5th having recenty come out. I really would like to see Eberron supported and soon. I've started a petition. Thoughts?

I think it's worth a shot, I can try advertising it here to generate more signatures.
They already have the book completed. I homebrew with an official Encounters DM and he has a physical copy of it. We've just started into the campaign and just finished our first large scale battle while aboard an airship. Pretty damn cool stuff. I can't wait for it to be officially released!

I don't know if I can trust you ha ha, I hope you're right though. Looking forward to some 5e style art of Eberron!
I'm not entirely sure as to what I want because I don't know what can be done with html so if there's anything you see that you think you can improve then please do so. The only idea I did have was a simplified version of the top part of the d&d4 wiki, just four square pictures that link to the pictured race/class' page.
