Mercantin d'Sivis was a gnome of House Sivis and a member of an ill-fated expedition to the frozen land of the Frostfell at the northern pole of Eberron.[1]
History[]
In 893 YK, this expedition set sail for the Frostfell aboard the North Seeker. Mercantin's role was that of communications, using his greater Mark of Scribing and its sending power to transmit messages back to Khorvaire and keeping the expedition in contact with House Sivis and the Wayfinder Foundation. However, the expedition was lost—Mercantin's sending about the ship being caught in ice was the last anyone heard of it and it has not been heard from again.[1]
Now, House Sivis plans a memorial to honor Mercantin on the hundredth anniversary. Mercantin's grandson, Zander d'Sivis, wishes to discover his grandfather's fate, and seeks to hire explorers to either retrieve his body or place a memorial marker at the site.[1]
