Maldazar of Lhazaar, also known as Firedeath, is an infamous sorcerer of great power. He is known best for the murders across Breland and Aundair during the Summer of Fires in which he committed 33 acts of murder and torture. Maldazar was captured on accident by the Valenar and held for murdering one of their horses. Brelish authorities were after Maldazar for the murders, but also because he had important knowledge pertaining to a weakness in Argonth's, Breland's mobile fortress, defenses.
Maldazar gathers his name because he is from the Lhazaar Principalities.
