The Korranberg Chronicle is the most widely read source of written news in all of Khorvaire, and perhaps all of Eberron. The newspaper originated in Zilargo, and like many gnomish ventures, has worked hard to maintain a reputation for "neutrality" and "objectivity". Because of this, and because of a distribution deal with House Orien, the Chronicle is widely distributed to all the Five Nations and beyond three times per week: Mol, Wir, and Far.[1][2]

If it happens in the Five Nations, you'll read about it in the Korranberg Chronicle.

Description[]

Like other chronicles of its kind, each edition comprises a set of broadsheets folded and nested together like a simple book. These are collected, stored, and eventually bound together.[1][2]

Content[]

The Chronicle is printed in Korranberg but recounts news from all over the Five Nations, Zilargo, the Mror Holds, and beyond. Royal proclamations, business solicitations, and almanac information are mixed with stories of adventurers and exciting expeditions.[1] Like other chronicles, it often gives accounts of the adventures of explorers such as thunder guides.[3]

Due to its coverage of the peace process during the end of the Last War, the Chronicle is held in contempt by King Kaius III of Karrnath. Indeed, because of their coverage of the peace process to the eventual signing of the Treaty of Thronehold, he blames them for a number of setbacks he suffered, and thus, the Chronicle and its reporters suffer harassment at every turn when operating within Karrnath. Similar grievances against the newspaper are had by the Boromar Clan and House Thuranni. The former is due to an exposé that resulted in many clan leaders' arrests, which also led to other gangs gaining a foothold in Sharn. The latter, meanwhile, is from reporters snooping too many times into Thuranni's secret affairs.[2]
