Infernal is the language spoken by the devils of the plane of Shavarath.[1]

Infernal is known in the Demon Wastes, which was once called Fah'lrrg in Infernal.[2]
The Infernal alphabet is also used for Abyssal.[3]

Behind the Scenes[]
For 3rd edition, the speech of the demons was Infernal. In 4th edition, the devils' language was changed to Supernal, a language that combined the 3rd-edition languages of Infernal and Celestial.[4]
