Councilor Ilyra Boromar is an inhabitant of Sharn in Breland. She is the representative of the Lower Dura and Cliffside wards on the City Council and a high-ranking member of the Boromar Clan, and thus part of the Sixty.[1][2][3]
Relationships[]
She is the oldest daughter of Saidan Boromar and Mala Boromar d'Jorasco, and thus a high-ranking member of the Boromar Clan.[2][3] Her younger brother is Shastroon Boromar.[4]
Personality[]
She is ruthless and dangerous, more than any other councilor and more inclined to use violence than the rest of the clan. Councilors who have opposed her have sometimes mysteriously disappeared.[1]
Activities[]
Although Ilyra nominally represents her wards, she is really a representative of the Boromar Clan itself, more so than other members with clan ties. She answers to Saidan himself and is empowered to make executive decisions on the Boromar's behalf. Her loyalty is an open secret to the other councilors, politely overlooked because of the Boromars' status and Ilyra's talents.[1][3]
She forms the "Boromar Block" with Councilors Thurik Davandi, Caskar Halavik, and Bestan ir'Tonn. She is opposed most often by Borian Haldorak, Dalaina Ironhand, Sava Kharisa, Hruit, and Kilk.[1][5][3] She handles dealings between the Boromar Clan and the Aurum via Borian.[5]
However, while Ilyra's role as councilor had once been quite useful to the Boromar Clan, her influence has been waning,[1][2] thanks to the Boromars' conflict with Daask and resulting loss of reputation, and other councilors desiring their loss of power too.[1][3]
History[]
After Shastroon Boromar was found murdered in Zarantyr, 998 YK, Ilyra declared she would grant "any and all resources" to Sharn's City Watch so that those behind it could be brought to justice.[4]
Following a strike and march by life and crane operators of Cliffside on Rhaan 20th, 998 YK, Ilyra promised to listen to their grievances, but only if they returned to work.[6]
