Professor Gydd Nephret is a half-elf academic at Morgrave University in Sharn, Breland. She lives with an academic community on campus called Shava House, which focuses on antiquities.[1]
Personality[]
Gydd is outgoing and animated and has a way of making everyone she meets feel as if they are interesting. She tends to use long words and rambles on about topics in which she is interested. However, upon first meeting people, especially adventurers whom she perceives as being scary, she is fairly nervous.[1]
History[]
Gydd met a group of adventurers in Sharn who had recently found a Dhakaani relic, the Ashen Crown. After researching the relic, she arranged a second meeting with the adventurers though this time invited Lady Danae Ulyan, an elf noble interested in such antiques. Some time after the meeting, Gydd suspected that Danae was not who she seemed and was someone dangerous and so wrote a letter to her new adventurer friends and attempted to go into hiding. However, shortly after sending the letter, she was captured by Lady Danae, who was secretly a Emerald Claw agent named Demise. Gydd was later killed and raised from the dead by Demise, who intended to use her as a hostage against the adventurers.[2]
