Garblers, which are extraplanar creatures, are commonly found in ancient libraries or underground, but they can be found in any place in Xen'drik where they can read about magic. They come from the Realm of Madness, the plane of Xoriat. They use truename magic. The reason they are often found in libraries is because they are looking to expand their knowledge of truename magic. Beware of them because even though they are small solitary creatures of a chaotic neutral alignment, Garblers are very powerful and aggressive aberrations.[1]

Appearance & PersonalityEdit

Garblers are horrible, gibbering masses of flesh and teeth, constantly babbling incoherently. It will occasionally utter a word of power amongst its babbling. Gablers do not speak or understand any language, even through telepathic means. Garblers weigh about 40 to 50 pounds, and measures three feet long. When it moves, it latches several of its mouths to the ground or walls, and drags its body behind it.

Garblers are insane. They ruthlessly attack any living creature that it can sense.[1]

In addition to the random utterances of words of power, garblers are immune to gaze attacks, visual effects, and illusions. Garblers possess darkvision.
