Galfurd is the second-in-command of Gaius Tanaquil's former gang of thieves, The Black Brigands. He hates Gaius with a passion because Gaius was always more skilled than Galfurd. When Gaius decided to quit the Black Brigands, Galfurd decided he would let Gaius go for good; he would murder him. This plan faltered though when Baba Moonweave interfered, saving Gaius.
