"In the monumental task of war,
true triumph evades those without
an appreciation for history."
Karrn the Conqueror, Analects of War

A guide to Eberron that anyone can edit, covering all editions and media.

The Wiki Chronicle

King Kaius

King Kaius. He looks familiar somehow...

The Wiki Chronicle returns at last, with this extra-special, extra-extra-extra-late edition. Sorry for the wait, everyone, but we get there in the end.

  • Where the Bloody Hells Have You Been: Lost in the planes, BadCatMan fetched up in Shavarath, the Battleground, caught between three ever-warring armies. He evaded a shredstorm, only to be caught in the slobbering jaws of a mivilorn, before being rescued by a word archon. He returned via the no-less-hazardous Ash Tower in the Mournland, and so offers his apologies for the lateness of his report.
  • Just a Strong Family Resemblance: Perses13 bravely returned to Karrnath to begin his biographies of Kings Kaius I and Kaius III, but had some issues after noting some suspicious similarities...
  • Call Him a Connoissewer: Resident sanitation specialist SunderedShor undertook a survey of the sewers of Eberron, paying particular attention to the surprisingly spacious system beneath Stormreach, and found them to be just as unpleasant as we always imagined.

Metrol
Metrol is the former capital of the Kingdom of Galifar and of the nation Cyre, but now a haunted ruin in the Mournland. Named the Rising City for the buildings that sat atop towering, sky-scraping columns of stone, Metrol was once a great metropolis and famed for its beauty. Here were the seven Royal Palaces of Vermishard high on the towers; the Cathedral of the Sovereign Host on its hill; the Metrol Arena; and the Vault, the mint and treasure of old Galifar; as well as a House Cannith workshop and House Phiarlan's previous Demesne of Shadow. Now the ruined city is strangely changed, with parts relocated or rotated, or else missing. By day, the streets are empty, bar the occasional scavengers or explorers. By night, so-called "ghostbeasts" prowl and howl and slaughter those caught out after dark.

  • The Floating Towers of Arcanix, Aundair, is Khorvaire's greatest magical university, houses its biggest arcane library, and is home to the Arcane Congress, but is also the site of a secret weapons laboratory.
  • Addis-Ro was a giant wizard-king and necromancer who reigned in Xen'drik. Although long dead, his servants—undead giants and forgotten horrors—remain, as well as works like the Pyramid of Ebon Flame, a passage to Khyber.
  • Rufus Warmbelly is a dwarf student of Morgrave Miscellany in Sharn, studying giant antiquities. However, when he came into the possession of an obsidian tablet, he was plagued by nightmares, which affected his sleep and studies.
  • Making was a city of Cyre that was the base of House Phiarlan. Phiarlan's baron was conveniently absent from the city on the Day of Mourning, prompting conspiracy theories about a connection with the catastrophe.
