The disk of shadow is a warforged component that can be attached to the chest of a warforged. It is a slim, metal disc forged in the shape of a crescent moon from a blackened metal that always seems like it is enshrouded in shadow, even during the daylight. When activated, an inky black cloud emerges from the mount of the warforged, enveloping the warforged's body.[1]
3rd Edition Mechanics
Edit
When activated, the disk of shadow envelops the warforged in a darkness spell for one hour. While enshrouded, the warforged gains a +2 concealment bonus to AC and a +5 bonus to Hide checks. These bonuses to not apply to creatures that possess darkvision or have the ability to see through magical darkness. The disk takes up the amulet slot on the warforged's body.[1]
