The Daughters of Sora Kell are a trio of hags who rule over the nation of Droaam.[1][2] Sora Katra is a green hag who acts as the group's voice and strategist. Sora Maenya is an annis hag and serves as the muscle, often leading groups of giant and ogre followers. Sora Teraza is a dusk hag, the eldest of the three, and perhaps the greatest seer and diviner in Eberron. Her visions help guide the group through good and bad, though her tenuous grasp on reality and mysterious motives render this not entirely foolproof, though it is a formidable asset.[3][4][5] Aside from their own innate abilities and magical powers, they also have a large army of powerful trolls and ogres at their command.[2][4]

History[]

The Daughters of Sora Kell were founded by Sora Tereza, who sought out and convinced the other two hags to unite and take over Droaam.[4][6] The hags prepared for the takeover for many years, before arriving in Droaam in 986 YK with an army of gnolls, trolls, and ogres, and founding a capital at the Great Crag. Over the course of the next year the Daughters established their rule over the scattered monsters and warlords through a combination of force and diplomacy.[2][7] The hags made the surviving warlords of the region swear fealty to them and provide tribute, which they used to build up Great Crag into a massive city.[2] In 987 YK, King Boranel evacuated all Brelish subjects from the west side of the Graywall Mountains, effectively conceding the territory to the Daughters.[1]

The Daughters petitioned for Droaam to be a part of the talks that led to the Treaty of Thronehold, however they were rejected and Droaam was not recognized as a nation by the treaty.[1][2] Instead Droaam has an uneasy truce with Breland, and internationally is considered to be a rebellious part of Breland.[5][8]

The Daughters current goals beyond improving their capital of Great Crag and the nation of Droaam are unknown.[2]

Relationships[]

As their name suggests, the Daughters are all children of the legendary night hag Sora Kell.[9]

The Daughters have several deals with House Tharashk to send their mercenaries and laborers out into the world, bringing money and intel back into the nation.[3]

Rumors suggest that the Daughters are behind the criminal organization Daask operating in Breland.[4][10]
