The Crimson Shield is a military commendation and is a carry-over from the Kingdom of Galifar. It is still used in all of the Five Nations. The Crimson Shield signifies bravery during combat.

The Crimson Shield is a silver brooch in the shape of a long shield crossed diagonally by a long sword the shield part is covered in red enamel. (the symbol is based on the holy symbol of Dol Dorn, the Sovereign god of strength and war. )
