Boummans are a race of humanoids that inhabit the Astral Plane. These humanoids do not speak, but communicate through song, known as Boummi. Most Boummans live their lives amongst Astral debris, within temples and shrines.
No one is sure how the Boumman race came to live on the Astral Plane. Boummans have criss-crossed the Astral Plane, building shrines and temples amongst debris scattered across the astral sea. The Boumman believe this debris to be the remnants of sleeping gods, and worship them accordingly.
Appearance & PersonalityEdit
Boummans resemble humans, with slightly distended faces and elongated hands and feet, especially in the extremities. Boummans are generally shorter and heavier than humans. Male boummans have long, bushy hair, while female boummans have no body hair at all.
Boummans are quiet, solumn creatures, having taken a vow of silence from their childhood. They communicate with each other through a song they call the Boummi. Most boummans can understand Common. Boummans are quite friendly with outsiders, whether they are native of the Astral Plane or not.
