Adarus are native to the plane of Xoriat. Eons ago, the adarus and the kaortis were great rivals. However, their war was doomed from the start: the adarus could not unify, and the kaortis drove the adarus to near extinction. Since then, the adarus have recovered, and seek a new home. Some adarus seek out the daelkyr of Xoriat, hoping an alliance will bring the downfall of the kaortis.
Appearance & PersonalityEdit
Adarus are creatures that resemble large millipedes. They possess blue insect-like bodies with multiple orange legs. Its body is covered in filth emitted from small dimples along the body, and this filth generates a cloud of foul odor. Adaurs possess humanoid-looking heads, which somewhat resemble a small child, with the noticeable exception of brown fangs dripping with venom.
Adarus enjoy deception and treachery, to the exception of everything else. They also enjoy the collection of wealth.
The adaru's main attack is a lunging bite, which allows its poisonous fangs to infect the victim. Adarus are surrounded by a fetid cloud that weakens good-aligned creatures and enhances evil-aligned creatures. The adarus are able to move through most terrain, including water and the ground itself. Their fetid cloud also produces a slime, that increases their movement speed.
In addition, adarus are telepathic, are immune to electricity and poison, and possess darkvision.
